  • marketing communications
  • newsletter subscriptions
  • cookies
  • analytics technologies

  • optional permissions or features

You may withdraw consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Legitimate interests

We may process personal information where necessary for legitimate interests such as:

  • preventing fraud and abuse
  • understanding service performance
  • protecting our business and users

We consider these interests against your privacy rights before relying on them.

Legal obligations

We may process information when required to comply with laws, regulations, court orders, tax obligations, accounting requirements, or lawful requests from public authorities.

Section 044. Children and Younger Users

Eimdal is intended for people aged 13 and over.

We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create Eimdal accounts.

Children and teenagers receive additional protections under privacy laws in many jurisdictions.

Where applicable law requires parental or guardian authorisation for particular consent-based processing, we may require that authorisation before carrying out the relevant processing.

In some European countries, the age at which a child may independently consent to certain online processing may be higher than 13.

We aim to present privacy information concerning younger users in clear and understandable language.

Where appropriate, Eimdal also applies enhanced safeguards to features involving location, profiling, advertising, and sharing of personal information.

If you believe someone under 13 has provided personal information to Eimdal, please contact:

hello@eimdal.com

  • measuring performance
  • understanding marketing effectiveness
  • advertising and campaign attribution

We currently expect to use services including:

  • Google Analytics

Where required by applicable UK or EU law, non-essential analytics and advertising technologies will not be activated until the user has made the relevant choice.

More details will be provided in our separate Cookie Policy.

You may choose to subscribe to Eimdal's Respawn newsletter and other marketing communications.

Newsletter subscriptions are voluntary.

When you subscribe, we may store information including:

  • source of consent
  • version of the consent wording accepted

We use Brevo to help manage subscribers and send newsletter communications.

You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.

We maintain appropriate subscription and suppression information so that we can respect unsubscribe requests and avoid sending marketing to people who have opted out.

For younger users, we take additional care around direct marketing and profiling.

Their own privacy policies may also apply to information they independently process.

Partners and reward providers

Where necessary to provide or redeem an offer, reward, competition, or benefit, information may be shared with the relevant partner.

We aim to limit such disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Legal and safety purposes

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

Business transactions

If Forgeblast is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

Section 088. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Forgeblast does not sell personal information for money.

Certain US privacy laws use terms such as “sell” or “share” more broadly, particularly in relation to targeted advertising.

If our use of advertising technologies is considered a sale or sharing under applicable law, we will provide any choices and mechanisms required by that law.

Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to Forgeblast, you may have additional privacy rights concerning targeted advertising, sale, sharing, access, correction, deletion, portability, or non-discrimination.

Section 099. International Data Transfers

Forgeblast and the companies that support Eimdal may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

This may include countries outside the European Economic Area or United Kingdom.

Where required, we use appropriate mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers of personal information, such as adequacy decisions, approved contractual protections, or other legally recognised safeguards.

Section 1010. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, and reporting obligations.

Our general approach includes:

  • Account and profile information: while your account remains active.
  • Deleted accounts: personal information is generally removed or anonymised from active systems within approximately 30 days, except where retention is required.
  • Backups: deleted information may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are replaced through their normal retention cycle.
  • Gameplay and connected-game information: while needed to provide Eimdal and for a limited period afterwards where necessary.
  • Reward and redemption records: may be retained for longer where required for accounting, fraud prevention, legal, or regulatory purposes.
  • Customer-support information: generally up to two years after the matter is resolved unless longer retention is necessary.
  • Newsletter information: while subscribed, with limited suppression and consent information retained after unsubscribe where necessary to honour your choice and demonstrate compliance.
  • Security and technical logs: generally retained for a limited period, such as 30–90 days, unless required for investigation or security purposes.
  • Analytics information: retained according to the configured retention period of the relevant service and kept no longer than reasonably necessary.
  • Approximate location information: retained only as necessary to provide relevant location-based functionality and related operational purposes.

We periodically review whether information still needs to be retained.

Section 1111. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Eimdal account and associated personal information from within the Eimdal app.

After a valid deletion request, we aim to remove or anonymise personal information from our active systems within approximately 30 days.

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for:

  • legal obligations
  • accounting or tax requirements
  • fraud prevention
  • dispute resolution
  • security
  • enforcing legal rights
  • maintaining suppression records following marketing opt-outs

Information may also temporarily remain in backup systems until those backups are overwritten through normal processes.

Section 1212. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including the right to:

  • request access to your personal information
  • correct inaccurate information
  • request deletion
  • restrict certain processing
  • object to certain processing
  • receive certain information in a portable format
  • withdraw consent
  • object to direct marketing
  • complain to a data protection regulator

Where applicable, you may also have rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling.

You can contact us about privacy rights at:

You may have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

European Economic Area users

You may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in the country where you live or work or where you believe a violation occurred.

United States users

Depending on your state and whether the relevant law applies to Forgeblast, you may have rights concerning:

  • access
  • correction
  • deletion
  • portability
  • targeted advertising
  • sale or sharing
  • non-discrimination

Section 1313. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Eimdal may use automated systems to support functionality such as:

  • rankings
  • recommendations
  • fraud prevention
  • quests
  • matchmaking
  • personalisation
  • other product functionality

At present, we do not intend to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users without providing the disclosures and safeguards required by applicable law.

If we introduce significant automated decision-making in the future, we will update our privacy information where required.

Additional safeguards may apply where profiling affects children or teenagers.

Section 1414. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against:

  • unauthorised access
  • accidental loss
  • misuse
  • alteration
  • disclosure
  • destruction

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.

Users are also responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us if they believe their Eimdal account has been compromised.

Section 1515. Third-Party Services and Links

Eimdal may contain integrations or links to third-party services, including:

  • game publishers
  • gaming platforms
  • Discord
  • social networks
  • reward providers
  • local businesses
  • external websites

Those organisations may independently process personal information under their own privacy policies.

Forgeblast is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties acting independently from us.

Section 1616. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Eimdal evolves or where legal or regulatory requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated Last updated date.

Where changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Eimdal app, website, email, or another appropriate method.
